Bayside Marriage Counseling

During the first appointment with Julie, she said I didn’t respect Glynn because my mom didn’t respect men & I get it from her. No ma’am, my mom was a respectful person. My mom is deceased & was married to my dad until the day she died & they never argued. How about Glynn has done so many things to me that caused the distrust and disrespect, he is the one that ruined that. She also said that no boy can ever be raised by a woman and grow up to be a man. That was his boys, not mine. I’ve been a widow for 21 years & raised my son on my own since he was 3.

This "counselor" needs additional education or re-education. I don't know how one gets credentialed in this field but the standards must be quite weak. Take a look at the reviews. The men are all happy, and the women are not. Julie only cares about her "process" and always sides with the husband. She has no real interest in your issues and seems to only focus on feeding her own ego. She even resorts to berating you if she doesn't think you are following her lead, even to the point of slamming her fists on her desk and yelling.

So, when I first began counseling with Julie, I was on the edge of walking away because things were so rough, but now we are engaged to be married. In the beginning we weren’t sure how this was going to go. One of the biggest, greatest things we have learned and been able to work on is being able to get out of our own feelings and focusing on intentional outcomes of our relationship. Something we decided on was to be a part of her longer time program to get the training and outcomes that we wanted.
