Hair by Dilis Hair Braiding

I tried this braid shop after seeing some of the pictures online. I scheduled an appointment for 9 and paid my deposit. The number basically said if I’m late it’s a $20 fee. I got there early only to wait to 10 am to get my hair started. The parts are bigger than the small knotless I requested. I asked to have the back row be placed in box braids because I wear blazers at work and they rub. They still did them in knotless and my back row has completely fell out. They had minor children assisting with the braid down so they are not neat. A waste of money and time.

This is my second time leaving a review. The first time, I gave four stars when I first started coming here several years ago. Unfortunately, after yesterday’s experience, I’m disappointed to say that I’ll be finding a new braider. I’ve had ongoing issues with scheduling and communication. Texts are often ignored or take days to receive a response, and sometimes my messages aren’t fully read, which means I have to repeatedly explain myself. At times, it honestly feels like I have to beg to make an appointment, which is frustrating as a paying customer.

I got a text as asking me for a certain color just to get there and they did not have the color that I requested. I also got a text about late policies just to get there and no one was at the shop. Do not get the $180 or $190 promo special if you like Full braids. The parts are big and you only get about 40 braids in your head. It’s not worth it. I hate my braids. I will never come back to the shop. First and last time. And I’ve gotten medium size braids from plenty of braiders and braiding shops before and they were fuller than this.
